Both cubes are skinned in two-way mirror. The inner cube runs hotter so it appears to float and pulse inside the outer shell, its edges multiplying in the reflections into apparent infinite depth. The cables connecting them read as the hypercube’s extra-dimensional struts.
From outside the piece reads as one glowing object. Step close and the reflections open into depth. The outer cube is a threshold; the inner one is the thing you came to find.
